    FAQ

The job at NorthSafety and employment requirements

    1. What does the job involve, and what tasks can I expect?

At NorthSafety, we offer various roles, from customer service and support to appointment setting and sales.

Learn more about the different job opportunities on our jobs page: Jobs in Thailand

    2. What are the employment requirements?

    To join NorthSafety, you must:

    • Be at least 22 before departure.
    • Speak and understand Danish fluently.
    • Be reliable and ready for new challenges.
    • Be able to commit at least six months to your adventure abroad.

    3. How does the salary and commission structure work?

Your salary depends on your qualifications and experience. Most employees receive a guaranteed base salary, with the remainder of their earnings based on commission. This means your effort is directly reflected in your pay.

    4. What does a typical workday look like, and what are the working hours?

Thailand is six hours ahead of Denmark, so you have plenty of time in the morning to enjoy your free time.

We start work at 2:00 p.m. Thai time (8:00 a.m. Danish time) and finish at 10:00 p.m. Your workday varies depending on your role, and there are often social activities both before and after work.

    5. Do I need to speak Thai?

You do not need to speak Thai. The most important thing is that you speak Danish fluently and can communicate in English. Learning a little Thai can make everyday life easier, but it is not a requirement.

Practical matters when relocating to and living in Thailand

    1. How does relocating to Thailand work, and do you help with accommodation, transport and insurance?

We make your move to Thailand as easy as possible. We help you find accommodation for your first month and can also assist with everything from insurance to scooter rental and driving licences.

We also help with other practical matters, such as opening a bank account, so you can get off to a good start.

    2. Where will I live, and what cost of living should I expect?

For the first month, we provide accommodation in a shared house. During that time, you can find your own apartment or house, and we have contacts who can help you.

The cost of living in Thailand is significantly lower than in Denmark, so you can live comfortably for much less.

    3. How do I get a visa?

The visa process always starts online, typically from Denmark or a neighbouring country.

Once you are hired, we guide you through the entire process and help with the practicalities, making it easy to complete online. We ensure that you receive all the necessary documents, so you are well prepared and can quickly move on to your new adventure.

    4. How does the healthcare system work, and what insurance do you offer?

Thailand has a well-functioning private healthcare system.

We contribute towards your health insurance, and we require you to take out insurance to ensure you are covered in case of illness or injury.

    5. What is the climate like in Thailand, and how do you adapt to it?

Thailand has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. It takes a little getting used to, but most people quickly learn how best to adapt to the heat – for example, by taking breaks in the shade, drinking plenty of water and avoiding the hottest hours around midday. Many people appreciate the tropical climate after coming from grey and rainy Denmark.

    6. What happens if I decide to return home early?

We expect you to work with us for at least six months, so you have time to complete your training and settle into the role.

If unforeseen circumstances arise, or you are not happy, we will of course help you arrange your journey home as smoothly as possible.
